Water Filtration Product – The Medallist Max Air is Iron and Sulphur Removal at its Finest!
The Culligan Medallist Max Air iron and sulphur remover is a chemical free whole house water filter. This unit has been designed for your local water characteristics and is an environmentally friendly and economical way to remove iron and sulphur from well water. Without the use of expensive air pumps, venturi valves, or chemical feeders – the Max Air creates an oxidizing air pocket at the top of the mineral tank to oxidize any ferrous iron, hydrogen sulfide and manganese prior to filtration.
How Does the Culligan Medallist Max Air Work?
As the water enters the unit, it passes through a pocket of compressed air which then oxidizes the water. The water now passes through a special media which creates a physical barrier to trap the oxidized precipitates. As water passes through the unit – the oxygen pocket is used up, while the media bed filters out and collects the precipitates. After a defined time period, the unit will automatically start the regeneration process which will replenish the oxygen supply in the tank, and flushes out the filtered precipitate.
As part of the design, the water inlet is installed with a check valve to prevent any air from flowing backwards out of the filter tank.
